Servant Leadership: effectively leading project leaders
Saturday, Nov 28 at 12:10 pm – 12:40 pm CET

Gone are the days of the debate on whether the soft skills in project leaders are as important as technical skills. All the current global project management standards, including ICB4, point to Leadership as one of the core competencies required for a project professional, no matter the scale of projects they run. And as project leaders progress into the C-suite of the organisations, ability to effectively lead others becomes even more critical.

In her keynote, Elena will explore the concept of Servant Leadership in a project environment as an alternative to the more rigid, hierarchical, autocratic style of the past decades, where the “hero-led” teams were expected to deliver outcomes through compliance and “following”. Leaning on her experience both as a hands-on project manager and the “leader of leaders”, Elena will touch on the key attributes of the servant leader and the effective application of the Servant Leadership concept as an enabler to project and organisational success.

Elena Zagorenko is a senior manager and leader with a track record of successfully delivering portfolios, programs, and projects in complex environments.
