Universidad Andres Bello (UNAB) will represent Chile at the IPMA Young Crew LATNET International Final of Project Management Championships 2018.

On Thursday, June 21, at the Faculty of Engineering, of Universidad Andres Bello, Viña del Mar, the final round of the 2018 Chilean Project Management Championship took place. The main goal of this championship is to promote interest in Project Management among young student and to provide opportunities to use their knowledge.

This important event has been organized by IPMA Young Crew Chile in collaboration with UNAB Viña del Mar and the sponsorship of BPMSat.

The event was hosted by Industrial Engineering and IT Engineering Schools, of Universidad Andres Bello, Viña del Mar.

The team of Universidad Andres Bello(UNAB),  Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering,  formed by Valentina Vega, Catalina Caroca, Franco Muñoz and, Giann Carlo Lotito, achieved the best results and were nominated as the Chilean Champions. In addition to winning the national final and receiving the prize of Level D of IPMA certification exam, they are representing Chile at Viña del Mar(Chile) at the International Latnet Final in August 2018.

The second place was obtained for the IT Engineering Team, UNAB, formed by  Enzo Napolitano, Ivan Perez and Juan Huaca.

The third place was obtained for the IT Engineering Team, UNAB, formed by Eduardo Herrera, Claudio Herrera, Tomas Walker and Patricio Rodriguez.

Each of the six Chilean teams had the same challenge related to project management and had to tackle it according to their own knowledge. All the presentation were held in English which added and additional difficulty to the event.

Participants were evaluated and greeted by special guests such as Jesús Martinez-Almela – current President of IPMA, JoopShefferlie–Vice-President  IPMA Certification, Bernardo Valenzuela– 1° Vice President IPMA Chile and Rafael Valenzuela, President IPMA Young Crew Chile.
