Dutch PMC National final
On Saturday 23rd of May, the Dutch national final of Project Management Championship (PMC) took place for the 3rd time in a row, organized by the IPMA Young Crew in collaboration with IPMA-NL and Microsoft.
In line with the current circumstances, it was decided to run this edition fully digitally via MS Teams. The 2020 edition of the PMC started on Friday evening with a kick-off session, in which the 7 participating teams (28 students from TU Delft and Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, among others) were able to present themselves based on their own team charter and their own analysis of their team dynamics. The kick-off meeting set the pace for the final that took place during the whole day of Saturday.
The final was an intense day for everyone involved, with a challenging program starting in the morning and rounding up in the evening with a digital award ceremony. During the final, the students were asked to work on a challenging and recognizable case that required a certain degree of creativity and originality. Throughout the day, students were assessed on their skills in digital collaboration and presentation, their project management knowledge and skills and their handling of agility and uncertainty.
In order to deliver a fair result and assess the performance of the teams, a jury was formed by Marcel Vilain (president of IPMA NL board), Roderik Pape (on behalf of IPMA NL community) and Jacco van de Griek (on behalf of IPMA NL YoungCrew).
After an exciting and rigorous day, the jury declared Team Pink as the winner, formed by Fiona Bauhofer, Jana Westerhaus and Tieko Obuodi from Windesheim Honours College. The team will represent the Netherlands at the International Final of the Project Management Championship (hosted by IPMA & YoungCrew Lithuania) to be held fully remotely this year.
The Project Management Championship organization committee consisted of Anastasia Kotoudi, Jacco van de Griek, Paulina Kamphuis, Sophie Pape and Vera de Jong, would like to thank all the participating students and everyone involved for their outstanding commitment and enthusiasm despite the challenging circumstances during the last months.
