Saturday 30h of April 2022: The Dutch National Final of the Project Management Championship (PMC) took place for the 5th time in a row, organized by the IPMA Young Crew Netherlands in collaboration with IPMA-NL.

The PMC 2022 edition was a full day physical event that took place at the location of a business partner of IPMA Nederland.

Six participating teams – made up of 23 students – from three different Dutch Universities (Hanze university, Twente university and TU Delft), successfully passed the online qualification test and qualified for this year’s PMC final.

The final was an intense day for everyone involved, with a challenging program starting in the morning and rounding up in the evening with the award ceremony. We all enjoyed the day as it was the first physical event of the Young Crew NL since the last two years.

The 6 teams were asked to assume the role of a project management firm for a day. Their mission was built upon a case study about a real life issue for the Netherlands: The Housing crisis! Throughout the day, students were tested on and assessed against their skills in collaboration and in presenting, their project management knowledge and competences as well as their ability of handling agility, uncertainty and changes.

In order to deliver a fair result and assess the performance of the teams, a jury was formed by Paul van de Steur, Roderik Pape and Hugo Marskamp, and representatives of the Young Crew NL Board.

After an exciting and rigorous day, the jury declared Team “Beyond Housing” from University of Twente as the winner, formed by Mart Leeman, Maya Vollenbrock, and Mirko Pap.

The team will represent the Netherlands at the International Final of the Project Management Championship in Berlin (hosted by IPMA & YoungCrew Germany) in June 2022!

The Project Management Championship organization committee consisted of Jason Tzanakakis, Aditya Navandar, Vikas Sharma, Barshaleena Das, Zachariah Kiran Varghese, Ascharya Sharma and Fiona Bauhofer.
