Gold and Award Winner 2016

“I am just honored to be a finalist…I was blessed with a talent and your talent is God’s gift to you, what you do with it is your gift back to God! My colleagues and team members are very proud and I believe this is just a way to give back what the respective project teams that I was involved in put in! The project is the foundation. The team is the project fix asset and the individual the contributor! Being a finalist was a team effort… like in sport… the individuals and manager will flourish if the team perform!!! I was blessed with good mentors who guided and assisted me and who I know will always assist if need be in the future.

I would recommend applying for YPMA as the process provides me with an opportunity to stand still, reflect and discover my own successes and capabilities. I consulted various professionals during the application and learned so much about myself from them. One will never “waste” ones time to apply! I would like to motivate young Project Manager to take on this amazing journey with a very passionate young community! If you can dream it… you can achieve it…”

Silver Winner 2016

“Being a finalist of the YPMY Award means a lot to me. It’s always nice to have your work acknowledged as being ‘best practice’, and it is even more so in this instance, as the competition comes from across the world. In a field where there is very high calibre competition, it is an honour to be recognised for my work. I take this as further motivation to keep improving my professional practice and leadership skills. I also recognise that I wouldn’t be able to become a YPMY finalist without the support from my managers, project team and the Australian Institute of Project Management, so this win is as much for them as it is for me.

I would encourage all young project management professionals from across the Globe to apply for these prestigious awards as it provides a great opportunity to benchmark yourself against others and learn and grow from the experience.”

Bronze Winner 2016

“Being a finalist was a great recognition for me and my team and proof that we are doing a good job in project management. This is also a great motivation for me to further develop skills and knowledge in project management.

I would recommend applying for the award to all young project managers who want to put their skills on test. Applying for the award is good opportunity for self-reflection. Moreover, you will meet other project managers from all over the world and see their approach to the problems. Applying for the award is one big learning experience.”
